  1. Ed Brubaker inspires me! I am a filmmaker and writer. I am the producer of Room 237, The Nightmare. My book is ALL HIS DAMNED MOTHER’S SONS.

    Elvis dies in 1959!

When Elvis Presley dies on the US Army base where he was stationed in Friedberg, Germany. it changes the lives for four young men who find themselves racing down a relentless path, from 1960 to 1973. Our main character is singing in a dive bar the night Elvis died. The following day he is on track to be the next King of Rock and Roll. Another loses his hero in Elvis that night and finds a new obsession in the underworld of crime.

These two are on a collision course. Only one will walk away.

“Elvis Presley died when he joined the Army.” — John Lennon.

If you are interested, I will happily send you an ARC, ebook or hard copy.

    I like your noise.

    All my best, Tim Kirk

  2. Hello Comic Book Noise Fam!

I found you all after skimming for indie comics pods maybe a year back? Not many are highlighting independent work! Appreciate seeing a platform where I get to listen in on those out there making a variety of stuff. I know you’re quite busy but if you have a moment, I’d appreciate a minute or two of your time.

I’m working on a peculiar graphic novel drawn in silverpoint right now. Whole book drawn at 18×24″ with watercolor, but rendered via silver stylus in the old school method. I ended up leaving my job for a few months to make it happen and headed to Thoughtbubble (from the US) after we kick off a Kickstarter Nov 11th. It’s a retro-futurist dark fantasy about bell-headed dolls coming to life and building a wild society, tied to my indie book BellRinger.

At the risk of sounding incredibly forward, I wondered if you’d give the project a chance to consider a possible interview? The video(s) give a good indication of what the project entails, from forging the stylus to preparing the board everyday, to snippets of semi-finished pages.

I 100% understand if not and I understand you’re quite busy, so no trouble in not responding. We’re super small but growing rapidly thanks to Danny Motta enjoying our series, BellRinger. I’ll send the KS Prelaunch Page (live on 11/11) and the youtube diaries so you can take a look if you so choose.

Again, no pressure at all! At the very least I wanted to share Silverbell with everyone at the Comic Book Noise family. Again, really enjoy how much you cover.

Thanks so much for your consideration and time, I also sent an email if you see this twice,
    Jake White
