Atomic Robo: Ghost of Station X #1

Atomic Robo is back this week. I read a preview of the first issue of the latest miniseries Ghost of Station X and it looks like this is another in a long line of excellent Atomic Robo stories. If you haven’t read Atomic Robo, think Hellboy with a sense of humor. If you have read any of the previous Atomic Robo stories, then you know what kind of goodness to expect. Don’t be the type of chump who is tied in with buying 52 #1 issues from a company who will probably be cancelling at least half of them within the year, be the type of chump who buys one #1 from a company who will at least make sure to tell the entire story.

We catch up on communication and some Top Cow News.  We read some comments from Top Cow’s letterer, Troy Peteri.  And Josh gets really amped up and sings through the August Previews for Top Cow.

There’s some talk about Artifacts – the release schedule can be found on the Top Cow Site.  Drive Thru Comics also has Artifacts issues 1-8 for only $1.99 each.

Music on this episode is “Donut Man” by the Dickies.  Podsafe music courtesy of MusicAlley.  Check them out and buy the track, if you’re so inclined!

Doughnuts this week are the mini-donuts from Starbucks.  We tried the Birthday Cake Donuts.  We did not like them.

Thanks, as always to Westfield Comics for their support

This week, Pat talks to one of his favorite illustrators, Mark Brooks. They go over his career, how he broke in to comics, the Atlanta comics community, some process stuff, and some fun convention stories. All this, plus a cameo from Mark’s wife, Lisa! Music by Steve Earnhart and Cake!
