Spectacular Spider-Cast Episode 9

Welcome back, True Believers! Co-hosts Gary Miller and Jonathan Westhoff have some catching up to do in this installment of the Spectacular Spider-Cast! Starting with not one but two issues of Rick Remender, Tony Moore & Tom Fowler’s Venom (#4-5), we keep truckin’ through four, count ’em, four (#663-666) issues of The Amazing Spider-Man, including the 2-part “Return of Anti-Venom” and an interlude called “Crossroads” before the Spidey-event of the summer begins. After some delays due to some terrible technical difficulties, co-hosts Gary Miller and Jonathan Westhoff return with another electric episode of the Spectacular Spider-Cast! After only a very brief break this time around, co-hosts Gary Miller & Jonathan Westhoff return with another thrilling episode of the Spectacular Spider-Cast! This time out, Gary and Jon begin by reviewing the two-part storyline “No One Dies” from Amazing Spider-Man #655-656 by Dan Slott & Marcos Martin. They then embark on a bonus diversion, reviewing Jonathan Hickman & Steve Epting’s FF #1 featuring ol’ webhead taking Johnny Storm’s place on the team. Lastly, the guys make up for the lack of focus on a classic storyline last outing with a review of “The Owl/Octopus War” from Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #72-79, wondering why nobody’s collected this one in a color graphic novel collection yet!
