Doughnuts and Top Cow Episode 36 – Artifacts #11

John and Josh really dig into Artifacts 11 – and they didn’t even spoil the biggest news event of the issue!  John continues with his skepticism about the true Survivor identity, Josh has some good points in his favor . . . and then they discover something that just might make for an interesting twist in Artifacts 13!  It makes sense that the 13th Artifact might hold a big key to the story in Artifacts 13, don’t you think?

We got some mini-crullers from Krispy Kreme on this episode, thanks to the nearby Open Pantry convenience store.

Doughnuts and Top Cow Episode 33 – Where to Start With Witchblade

Top Cow recently posed the question – what issue of Witchblade would you recommend new readers start with?  John and Josh tackle the question with their own thoughts – they would sure love to hear what YOU think!  Afterward, Josh takes a walk through the Top Cow Previews solicitations for shipment in December.

We had tasty (and naughty) doughnuts this week from Copps Grocery Store in Madison.  Glazed croissants and raspberry filled bismarks.  Mmmm.

Doughnuts and Top Cow Episode 32 – Troy Peteri

This week we have the privilege of hanging out with Top Cow Letterer Troy Peteri!  Our audio quality is not the best, but the content is still quite good.  Join us for a relaxed session talking about comics.  And doughnuts, of course.

Doughnuts this episode are, once again, from Lane’s Bakery in Madison, WI

Doughnuts and Top Cow Episode 31 – Echoes

John and Josh take a close look at Echoes, a 5 issue mini-series (collected in a sweet hardcover) from Top Cow’s Minotaur Press that has received critical acclaim and three Harvey Award nominations.  Josh has the hardback; John has a combo of single issues plus a digital copy of issue #5.  Reviews were mixed – there aren’t too many spoilers, but there’s still a lot to talk about.

Doughnuts and Top Cow Episode 30 – What Should We Buy?

There is no mention of the lost Episode 29 on this show.  Maybe you’ll hear it someday.  Maybe not!

On this episode, we make doughnuts from scratch with our handy new Doughnut Maker!  They worked out pretty well, and are probably slightly healthier than usual.

Josh checks out Previews – this month it’s in time for you to place an order with your LCS!  More Pilot Season books coming up, along with a diverse line up of Top Cow books.

Doughnuts and Top Cow Episode 28 – Catching Up

We catch up on communication and some Top Cow News.  We read some comments from Top Cow’s letterer, Troy Peteri.  And Josh gets really amped up and sings through the August Previews for Top Cow.

There’s some talk about Artifacts – the release schedule can be found on the Top Cow Site.  Drive Thru Comics also has Artifacts issues 1-8 for only $1.99 each.

Doughnuts this week are the mini-donuts from Starbucks.  We tried the Birthday Cake Donuts.  We did not like them.
